Leaving Your Job? Can You Take Your Company Health Cover?

With migration, you can apply for a personal health policy with the same insurance company. Suppose the personal policy has a three-year waiting period for an existing illness. If two years of continuous company cover count towards it, only one more year remains. The insurance company must approve the move, and the benefits and premium may be different. Before you leave, ask your advisor to check what carries forward and help you apply for migration.
