Why You Still Pay at Hospital Discharge, Even With Cashless Health Insurance

Your cashless claim was approved, but the hospital still asks you to pay at discharge. The insurance company pays for your treatment, but items like gloves, masks and a thermometer may be on your policy's list of things it doesn't pay for, so you pay for those yourself, even with cashless. Some insurance companies offer an optional cover, at an extra premium, that pays for many of these items, but not all. It pays only when the claim is approved, up to a limit, and you can add it when you buy or renew. Ask your advisor to check your policy's list before your renewal, and whether this cover suits your budget. What a policy pays depends on its terms.

What this is not

ZaapIn is a technology company. We do not sell or solicit insurance. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or recommended by IRDAI, any examination body, or any insurer.

The videos explain insurance. They do not name a product, quote a price, or tell anyone what to buy. That is the advisor's work, and the whole point is to send customers to their advisor for it.
